Susan Roberta Jones Johnson, 66, was born on November 16, 1957, in Lower East Side, New York City. She passed away on April 29, 2024.
Susan attended Grace Church School, Quaker Friends Seminary School, Brandeis University, and the Antioch School of Law.
Susan was a Professor of Clinical Law at GW Law School for 36 years, where she had a profound impact on her students, colleagues and community. You can read more about it here: https://www.law.gwu.edu/memoriam-susan-jones GW Law recently held a half day memorial symposium honoring her legacy, and announced the creation of the Susan Jones Memorial Social Entrepreneurship and Community Empowerment Award, to be presented annually at graduation.
Susan is survived by her beloved mother, Dr. Shirley Jones, husband Abasi Johnson, brother Sande Jones and extended family.
