With sadness, we report the passing of Mary Tamara Joelle Ford '84.
Mary Tamara Joelle Ford passed on November 18, 2020 in Bay Shore, New York. When she died she was surrounded by her sisters and brother. The youngest of 10, she was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Reverend Guillaume Ford and Jeanne Jean-Louis Ford. She suffered from lupus, a chronic auto-immune disease. Despite her chronic illness, Mary went on to be a writer and editor, entrepreneur and pastry chef. Those close to her describe her as positive, witty and intelligent. Her obituary reads, “Her life served as a testament to the power of faith, a reminder to give thanks for the privileges we have, and irrefutable proof that miracles are real.”
