In the fall of 2020, the Alumni Council with former Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Jason Craige Harris formed a Taskforce to help address concerns from members of the alumni community who have felt ostracized, unheard and not part of the school. A new Diversity, Equity and Belonging subcommittee of the Alumni Council was formed, including three members of the Council and four at-large alumni. As a result of the work of these volunteers it was determined that a survey was needed to help inform future programming and enable the School to capture demographic information. It was important to give alumni the opportunity to let the School know how they self-identify. In November 2021, all alumni were invited to complete the first Friends Seminary Alumni Demographic Survey which a total of 432 respondents completed. The School is grateful to those who took the time to complete the survey. Please click here to view the results from the survey.
