School’s out for the Summer!

Hello Friends,

At the risk of sounding cliché, let me say time flies. During this past school year, Friends Seminary has displayed its resilience by opening school in-person, determined to provide a safe environment for students to learn and teachers and staff to work. We have experienced the gradual relaxation of protocols, allowing the School to shift to a mask-optional model. For those new to Friends like me, seeing members of the community without a mask on for the first time was almost like an initial meeting. The return of in-person events on campus also brought the School closer to what was familiar at Friends pre-pandemic. Events like God’s Love We Deliver, Lunar New Year, and Day of Service all took place successfully. Despite the emergence of COVID-19 variants, Friends moved forward together with confidence.

Grade 4 students have moved up to Middle School, Grade 8 students are prepared for Upper School, and the graduated seniors are experiencing a pivotal moment in their lives as they embark on their college journeys with the foundational Quaker values and education that Friends has bestowed upon them—to bring about a world that ought to be. Farewell for now, until September.

In friendship,

Michael Mudho

Associate Director of Advancement for Alumni Relations
